Traditional printmaker and artist inspired by water and nature in all it’s glory.

My practice is rooted in close observation of the natural world, particularly the meeting points of water, light, and land. I am fascinated by the quiet power of the sea, rivers, and skies- by how they shift from calm to turbulence, from still to restless, in ways that are both unpredictable and deeply familiar. These are places of constant change, and my work seeks to hold onto the fleeting, in-between moments that so often pass unnoticed.

Meet the Maker

I am a traditional printmaker based in Devon, working under the name Flotsam Prints. I work primarily in reduction linocut, a process that is as exacting as it is rewarding. Using a single block of lino, I carve and print successive layers of colour, gradually removing more of the surface with each stage. Once an area is cut away, it cannot be printed again- there is no going back.

“This is the most stunning piece of work. It genuinely made me emotional when it arrived. It’s beautiful, just incredible.”

— Louisa Hall, Etsy Review
